≪SWEET AZUKI BEANS≫ Quick and Easy but not too sweet AZUKI beans recipe!

Welcome to my blog, I’m Japanese and I love AZUKI, in Japan we call it tsubu-ann (粒あん sweet red bean paste).

Azuki is rich in fiver, vitamins and essential amino acid! It is also knows as anti-aging food. I got all the ingredients in Kuwait. Hope you will find my recipe useful. Here we go! 
Ingredients
Azuki beans  200g

Brown sugar  140g

Water  1L

Salt  1pinch

Method

1. Wash Azuki beans.


2. Put the washed Azuki beans and water in pod. Simmer with a lid on medium heat about 60 minutes until soft. Skim off any foam that raises while simmering.


3. Once the Azuki beans are soft, turn off the heat. Azuki beans should be easily mashable. Leave them with a lid about 15-20 minutes. 


4. Add 1/3 sugar, simmer about 5 minutes on a low heat. Mix well. 


5. Add the rest of sugar little by little while you are mixing well.


6. After adding all the sugar, add salt. 


7. Check the softness of the Azuki beans when the liquid is almost gone. Turn off the heat when the beans are soft enough for you. 

That’s it!

You can freeze some in a zip lock bags and unfreeze them when you want to eat later!
